Arcadia Proper or what I call “True” Arcadia is the most sought after neighborhood in Phoenix. Arcadia Proper is home to the original citrus orchards that started the Arcadia neighborhood in the early 1900’s. Orange, lemon, and grapefruit trees still sit in most of the yards as you drive through the neighborhood. Arcadia Proper is made up of larger estate homes situated on lush green lots. If you are looking for a family friendly neighborhood and have a big budget then this is the place for you. Most of the homes in Arcadia Proper have been remodeled, if not torn down and completely rebuilt. Average lot sizes in this part of the neighborhood are a half acre with home prices currently ranging from $700,000-$8,000,000.
“True” Arcadia is in close proximity to most of Phoenix’s main shopping and dining attractions. It is situated right on top of the Phoenix and Scottsdale border which allows residents to take advantage of all of the fun.
